1. DfE Consultation on extending age range for school/college responsibility for access to careers guidance
Members will be aware that, in introducing the new responsibility for schools to secure access to careers guidance for 14-16 year olds, there was a promise to consult on extending the responsibility down to Year 8 students, and up to students aged up to 18. The DfE has now launched this consultation, which is open now, until 1 August. Click here

2. Attendance at AGM on 25 May, Birmingham All members are strongly encouraged to attend the Association's AGM on Friday 25 May, at Lucas House, University of Birmingham. Prior to the AGM there will be an open meeting of the Consultative Council to which all members are invited, to brief members on the stage reached with partner organisations in the formation of the Career Profession Alliance, and the opportunity to ask questions. The event is due to start at 11.00, lunch is provided, and will end by 4.00 pm. Please inform Alan Vincent, General Secretary if you are intending to attend, and to do so by Monday 21 May on Alan Vincent

Information about services and products The Association is keen to inform members of services and products relevant to careers education and guidance, and, following a number of approaches from organisations wishing to advertise on our website, this service will now be available.
