ACEG’s Training, Research and Consultancy Services
ACEG offers a comprehensive training, research and consultancy service, drawing on its network of highly experienced CEG and WRL consultants, including well-known and respected national experts in the field.
we can provide expertise in the following areas:
- Research and evaluation projects at local, regional and national levels
- Review and evaluation of CEG and WRL projects and resources
- Gathering learner voice feedback for CEG and WRL activities and services
- Providing guidance on the use of careers software and other forms of learning technology for CEG and Work-related Learning
- Writing bespoke Careers Education and Work-related Learning resources, lesson plans and activities for all key stages, including materials for learners with learning difficulties and disabilities
- Reviewing organisations’ documents and resources for accuracy of careers messages and information about qualifications etc
- Producing written and web-based guidance relating to the latest policy for CEG, WRL and changes to curriculum and qualification structures
- Writing and delivering CPD programmes and accredited courses for CEG
- Writing and delivering presentations and workshops at conferences and other events
Examples of ACEG’s recent consultancy work include:
- Monitoring of Careers Education provision in 50 secondary schools and colleges throughout England, as part of a research project – for QCDA
- Writing CPD modules on CEG through subjects, auditing CEG provision and using CEG to help students prepare for transition - for SSAT
- Working with digital media company Illumina to produce the CPD resource ‘CLIAG for All’ – for LSIS
- Producing a ‘tool kit’ of effective CEG - for SSAT
- Working with Canterbury Christchurch University to write and teach an accredited qualification on HE for widening participation advisers in Humberside and North Lincolnshire
- Producing written and filmed case studies of good practice in Careers Education- for QCDA
- Research and report on schools’ use of the ‘icould’ website
